IyaSokoya “Coach Iya” Karade, owner of the Athletic Arts Academy gymnastics training facility in Orange NJ. Began street  & club dancing in the Greater-Newark/NY Metro area in the late '70’s. Both an athlete and cheerleader with background in Track & Field, Gymnastics, Softball, Volleyball, and Double Dutch. Studied West African Dance, Yoga, Ballet, & Horton before become a gymnastics coach & judge. Times like these have me “Goin’ Back to My Roots.”
