Choosing the Right Child Care Program

At Athletic Arts Academy, our priority is providing a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all students. As such, we reserve the right to discontinue care for any child whose behavior is consistently unsafe, disruptive, or harmful to themselves, others, staff, or our facility.

If a child requires physical restraint or discipline at home or in school to manage behavior, our after-school program or summer camp may not be the appropriate setting. Short-term classes may be more suitable.

We are gymnastics coaches—not behavioral or medical specialists. While we strive to support every child, we are not equipped to serve students who, due to medical or social needs, cannot safely participate. If behavioral challenges persist, we encourage families to seek medical evaluation. We are happy to provide referrals for alternative care options that better meet those needs.

We respect parents' knowledge of their children. However, certain behaviors may require further evaluation or a care plan beyond our scope. Early support at home helps avoid situations where a child may harm others, staff may be injured, or parents must be interrupted at work due to incidents.

Please refer to our Medical Policy in the Parent Handbook. We do not administer any prescription or non-prescription medications. Children must take medication before arriving or be capable of self-administering emergency devices like asthma pumps. We are authorized to administer EpiPens only in emergencies. Other medications, including cough syrup or antihistamines, are not permitted on-site.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sincerely,
